Safety

Denham-Blythe's commitment to safety is evidenced strongly with our commendable Experience Modification Rate trend for the past five years:

Denham-Blythe's safety program is led by our own in-house safety committee.  This safety committee is led by Donald R. Clemons, Safety Director; Karen Garrett Hendrix, Human Resources Director; and James K. Davis, P.E., Vice President.  The committee consists of field supervisors, craftsmen and a member of the design staff, all selected for rotating terms.  On a regular basis, the committee reviews potential risks, recent violations and recommendations for program improvements.

Our overall safety program includes all of the key components required to be effective.

Project managers, superintendents, field engineers and craftsmen receive regular training in areas of study that cover the required and necessary topics.

Just recently, Mr. Clemons, our safety director, has received his certification allowing him to teach the OSHA 10-hour class.  Mr. Clemons' recent certification will allow us to be even more aggressive with our in-house training.
